On campus, there are number of Facilities. There is a student lounge, student computer rooms, a specialist Experimental design laboratory for Psychology students, a Library and a College Café.

The student computer room provides access to all necessary programmes that students will need for their classes. It also provides high speed internet access. The college has a wireless system in addition to the computer room. This wireless system can be accessed from anywhere within the college.

The Rooney Library is an excellent resource for students. Sperenza’s Café is located in the College. It provides refreshments and lunches for its students at reasonable prices. Business Academy Aarhus

The Business Academy Aarhus offers a wide range of AP and Bachelor degree programs within Technology, Business and Computer Sciences, etc. The academy is one of the largest of its kind in Denmark with more than 3,500 full-time students, of which 600 are international students. In addition, approx. 1,600 students are enrolled in in-service study programs. There are 220 full-time academic teachers.

The Business Academy Aarhus works with university researchers and private companies to enable students to engage in practical, real-world problem solving. The teachers work together in teams, enabling them to organize unconventional and challenging education. Class room teaching is extensively supplemented by more flexible teaching methods, enabling students to work I IT laboratories and homework cafes, both during and after school hours. Students are introduced to projects and group work, which is widely used. Zealand Institute of Business and Technology also emphasis interdisciplinary studies in order to make students realize how the different subject areas are inter-related to each other in real world business planning and decision making.

The various teaching methods are used in order to let the students take an active part in their own learning and education. The focus is on an interactive pedagogical approach where the students are actively participating in the class room, taking an active part in the learning process (learning by doing).

When you enter the Academy you will experience that is it is a new world of learning. In some subjects you do not find a fixed answer, but the debate will result in finding the best possible solution to a question- with the teacher acting as the consultant. By giving room for the students to actively participate in their education they also gain important lessons for their future career. Taking an active part is a must in modern business life.

Having spent some time studying in the chosen program students will be introduced to electives, which enables a student to direct the studies towards a special field of interest. Also the topic for the final project will be chosen by the student him/herself in order to make it possible for students to direct studies towards individual future career goals.

All ordinary higher education programs include an internship in a company either in Denmark or abroad. During the internship students will experience how to apply class room learning to the real business world.

Students of International Business may enhance their educational experience by studying for a semester during their second year at Lynn University in Florida.

American College Dublin and Lynn University have an articulation agreement which means that credits obtained at Lynn University are automatically transferred to ACD when the student returns. International Internships and summer employment can also be organized in Florida.

Students of Hospitality Management can also study in America. They have the opportunity to attend the Delaware School of Hotel Management. This school combines the Swiss and American style of Hospitality education and offers programs for traditional and non-traditional students. This offers students the opportunity to truly globalize their education

Living in Dublin

Dublin, Ireland’s capital city, lies on Dublin Bay and overlooks the Irish Sea that divides Ireland and Britain. The city ranks among the top tourist destinations in Europe and in the last decade there has been an economic boom, which has seen areas of Dublin change dramatically.

Many historical areas have been rejuvenated and restored; new shopping centers have arrived along with many restaurants, clubs and bars, making Dublin an exciting place to stay. One thing that you won’t be short of in Dublin is entertainment. Whole area of the city, like Temple Bar, buzz with energy and creativity. Temple Bar is one of the Dublin’s most popular areas, where you will find a large concentration of pubs, restaurants, cafes, shops and art galleries. As evening approaches and the shops begin to close, Temple Bar transforms into an exciting party hot spot with a friendly atmosphere.

College Facilities

American College Dublin is located in beautifully restored Georgian buildings on Merrion Square. It is a specialist College, focus on giving its students the best possible education.

On campus, there are number of Facilities. There is a student lounge, student computer rooms, a specialist Experimental design laboratory for Psychology students, a Library and a College Café.

The student computer room provides access to all necessary programmes that students will need for their classes. It also provides high speed internet access. The college has a wireless system in addition to the computer room. This wireless system can be accessed from anywhere within the college.

The Rooney Library is an excellent resource for students. Sperenza’s Café is located in the College. It provides refreshments and lunches for its students at reasonable prices. The café has two seating areas and an outside area. It is always a hub of activity within the college. Students meet there and spend hours making new, lifelong friends.
