Small scale

images (8)

However, within each of our localities Inholland is a relatively small provider  higher professional education. This means that our students receive a lot of attention and have direct and personal contacts with their lecturers. At the same time, they enjoy the benefits of a large-scale institution: strong ICT services, modern buildings, limited overhead costs and many scheduled classes.

Focus on practice in education and research

63

Many of our lecturers combine their teaching positions with applied work, creating valuable interactions between theory and practice. Our study programs are continuously in touch with their respective professional fields, ensuring that our programs today are always aligned with the labor market of tomorrow.

With 26 electorates or academic research units, Inholland contributes to the diffusion and communication of knowledge to industry and society. Through applied research the electorates try to find solutions to current issues in the professional field and society. In their studies, students are presented with the research outcomes.

Practice versus theory

images (5)

Focus on practice is an important aspect of the Inholland University of Applied Sciences study programs. It helps students to be optimally prepared for the labor market. During their studies and work placements students gain experience in trade and industry, which in turn can benefit from the students’ knowledge.

This is why Inholland maintains an extensive network of valuable contacts in trade and industry and collaborates with secondary schools and universities in the Netherlands and abroad.

Enterprising students

images (9)

To turn knowledge into economic growth and jobs is one of our greatest challenges. That’s why Inholland University of Applied Sciences wants to cultivate entrepreneurship in its students. Inholland aims to have a close relationship with students, the market and society. Accordingly, entrepreneurship is not an optional subject but an integral part of our study programs.
