Diploma of Building Design and Technology:

This course covers building theory and practice related to residential, industrial and commercial buildings.

Assessment Methods:

Continuous assessment after the completion of each module, by tests, internal exams, individual assignments and assessment of practical competencies.

Teaching Methods:

Supervised classroom learning, lectures, self-paced learning and supervised practical components.

Employment Opportunities:

Work with Architects or Building Designers, covering duties such as design, drafting documentation, project documentation and project administration. Graduates may also set up their own practice as Building Designers or Consultants after a period of approved practical experience.

Further Education Opportunities:

Students may be eligible to enter into the second year of an architectural course at university.

Entrance Requirements:

Year 12 or equivalent including Maths and Physics or mature age entry with relevant work experience. IELTS 5.5 or equivalent.
