Practical Information

Application forms can be downloaded from Upon request, international office can send you the application forms and information about additional required documents . The completed form and the required documents should be sent by regular mail to international office . You will be notified within three weeks after receipt of your application (if your is complete) . Application costs dollar 82.50 (non-refundable) However , If you NHTV’s partner institutes, you are exempted from paying the application fee.

Application are admitted on a first-come-first served basis . Bear in mind that arranging practical matters, such as housing will take quite some time. Moreover, non-EU application procedures. In short: the  sooner you apply , the better your chances of acceptance .

Visa and Residence Permit

If you want to study in the Netherlands you must apply for a residence permit – a tourist visa is not sufficient . If you are an EU/EEA resident or if you come from Australia, Canada, Japan , New-Zealand , Switzerland or the USA, you will need to apply for a residence permit after you have arrived in the Netherlands . If you come from any other country, you will first need an authorization for a temporary stay (called ‘MVV’ in Dutch ) , which server as an entrance visa .An ‘MVV’ costs dollar 250 and must be applied for before 1july .After your arrival in the Netherlands you will still need to apply for a residence permit . International Office may help you with an accelerated ‘MVV’ application procedure, but only after you have been admitted to NHTV
