Course Description

‘Workers in this role are usually also involved in service delivery, either direct client work and/or health promotion and community development  projects . Workers at this level operate at an advance  skills level and may also have responsibilities for the supervision of other staff and volunteers .


Students successfully completing the course will receive the Diploma of Community Welfare work

Job Prospects

Graduates of the Diploma of Community Welfare Work CHCS50702 course will be able to seek employment at a paraprofessional level in the following areas:

Course Length

Diploma:- full time –Two Years. The Diploma includes 450hours of compulsory work placement wher course assessment are completed


Assessment is based on demonstrated competency ,in most case in actual workplace . Assessment  will include observation , third party reports , interviews portfolio of evidence and workplace projects

Teaching Method

Face to face classroom teaching, lectures, discussion, workshop activities, research, supervised practical components.
