Course Description: The Master of Design is widely regarded as the best interdisciplinary design education course in Australia. It is renowned for teaching leading professional innovations and strategies in design. You will graduate as a culturally sensitive design professional with specialist skills and leadership abilities.

You study the nature and processor of design, the roles and responsibilities of designers and their profession, and the impact of design upon society. There is an emphasis on sustainable and ecologically aware practices.

If you hold a recognised Bachelor’s degree in a design field you may receive 24 credit points of advanced standing.



Course Duration: 1 year

Course Descripton: The Graduate Diploma in Design offers designers who do not hold a Bachelor Degree in Design, a pathway to the Master of Design course.

Project-based assessments allow you to explore the processed of design in a variety of desciplinary contexts, while collaborative research enhances your theoretical understanding of design.

Graduate become reflective practitioners, able to critically evaluate and adapt how they design to changing cultural and diciplinary demands.

Upon completion of this course you may not enrol in the Master of Design program with 24 credit points of advanced standing.



Course Duration: 1.5 years

Course Description: The Master of Animation is a unique cross-faculty course delivered jointly by the Faculties of Design, Architecture and Building; Humanities and Social Sciences; and Information Technology. It combines the disciplinary strengths of the three faculties in the teaching of animation.

This course will enable you to become a creative animator with a string understanding of the  theory and history of animation. You become skilled in current digital and analogue techniques for producing 2D and 3D animations for film, television, video games and the Internet.
